GM specifically under-rated the 1970 454-LS6 for insurance reasons. HP (to the rear wheels) was well over 500 (officially rated by Chevy at 450) on a dyno test.

Although their rare cars. It seems every time I see this car,… It just happens to be a SS454 LS6 car. I think something like 2000-something LS6 chevelle’s were built in 1970. Today their must be 50.000 LS6 cars, all mathing numbers build sheets and all at your local car show….
