www.v8tvshow.com - In this video, we're wet sanding the previous color coat on our 1965 Chevelle with 3M Wetordry 2000 grit sandpaper and masking and prepping it for the final color coats of DuPont Estoril Blue. Painter Nathan Newberry mixes the materials in a 3M PPS cup system for easy measurement and cleanup before entering the downdraft baking booth discusses proper spraying technique when applying metallic colors. Then, the car receives several coats of clear before leaving the spray booth. Next step wet sand it again, and buff it out!

Illness forces sale of this solid old 1965 Galaxy 500 LTD hard top coupe with believed true 87000 miles. It has a 390 V8 under the hood, an automatic transmission, dual exhaust, radio and heater. While the car is solid and runs, the paint is badly faded and the remnants of the white vinyl top either need to be removed and the top painted, or it could be replaced with another vinyl top. The interior is in fair shape, no tears in the headliner, side door panels are good, back seat is good, the front seats are well packed and solid so seat covers would be fine on them.
